The initiative is aimed at cafés, pubs, hotels, garden centres and hairdressers across the UK to celebrate the efforts of everyone who works in hospitality.
Businesses will need to submit an application explaining why their employee has gone ‘above and beyond in their role’ before the entry deadline of 16 July 2021.
Frances Booth, UK category marketing manager at Lotus Bakeries, said: “We truly admire the determination and dedication of everyone in the foodservice and hospitality industries, now more than ever before.
“Hospitality heroes is just a small way of showing our appreciation and support to individual employees and businesses who never fail to go above and beyond for our community, even during the most difficult of times.”
A panel of judges will select five finalists in each of the five categories. Each ‘hospitality hero’ will win a years supply of Lotus Biscoff products and merchandise as well as a makeover for their workplace.
