Abstract
Moving Venue is to be the exclusive caterer for the Science Museum’s new event space, Illuminate, which is due to open in January.

The special events caterer will create tailored menus to complement the museum’s ethos of innovation and discovery.

Ben Lheureux, head of catering and events at the Science Museum Group, said: “We are excited to be building on our longstanding relationship with Moving Venue to bring a unique catering offering to our clients who book Illuminate for their events.

“With Illuminate set to create waves in the industry, it was vital that we selected experienced partners, and the flair and creativity of Moving Venue will allow us to push the boundaries when it comes to producing creative, interactive and memorable events.”

Illuminate is situated on levels four and five of the Science Museum. It will be available for both daytime and evening hire for dinners, conferences and receptions.

Chloe Martin, sales and marketing director at Moving Venue, added: “We are working closely with Illuminate to ensure the dishes offered add a hint of the unexpected, whether this be from a standard DDR package including the ever-popular energy balls instead of a cookie, to our buffet lunches being lead from the vegan front rather than lead by protein and carbs, as sustainability is so important to our clients these days.

"In terms of canapes, bowls and seated dinners, our executive chef has produced a range of bespoke Illuminate dishes, incorporating white/yellow/light up elements.”
