Abstract
The London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, is hosting the 2013 Women 1st Conference and Shine Awards ceremony, taking place on 19th June.

The Women 1st Conference is the only event dedicated to women working in the UK's hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism industries.

It will be hosted by Carla Buzasi, editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post UK. To mark the launch of the 2013 conference, Women 1st is running an early bird offer until 25 January 2013 where a ticket will be priced at £299 plus VAT.

The conference theme for 2013 is 'energise your career' and Women 1st is working with Amanda Ursell, nutritionist for The Times and Sun newspapers, to make sure that the food offered at the conference will help delegates maintain high energy throughout the day.

Rachel Deley, director of sales at London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, said: "We firmly believe that gender-balanced teams perform better and we are working hard to ensure that women are represented on our senior management teams. We are very supportive of Women 1st's work to increase the number of women at senior level in our industry and are proud to host this year's Women 1st Conference, which plays such an important role in giving women professional development and networking opportunities."

Sharon Glancy, founder of Women 1st, added: "Our inaugural conference in June was very popular and we are delighted to have Marriott's support for the 2013 Conference. The feedback we received following this year's event was that it made a real contribution to people's lives. It was a packed day of inspiring speakers, networking sessions and workshops all designed to help women climb the career ladder. And next year's event is set to be even bigger!"

On the evening following the conference, Women 1st will announce the winners of its annual Shine Awards. More details on nominations will be announced in the New Year.
