Abstract
London-based corporate catering company Alistair-Hugo has been awarded the Soil Association Food for Life Catering Mark Bronze Award for its commitment to sustainable, ethically sourced and nutritious food.

Set up in the year 2000 by Alistair Shaw and Hugo Mauthner, tThe company moved on to its present site in Acton in 2008 and now employs 40 staff providing food for business meetings, functions and corporate hospitality across London, plus lunch daily for 283 students at City of Westminster private school, L’Ecole Internationale Franco Anglaise.

“We want people to have confidence that they are eating the freshest food available at their business meetings, events or at school,” said Alistair Shaw, a co-founder and director.

“We are always keen to provide a top quality service for our customers, and The Soil Association Catering Mark has helped us to reach the next level.

“We made a few small changes including working with our local butcher to ensure all our meat was farm-assured, and removing any remaining additives and trans-fats from our menus.

“We are very proud to have achieved the Catering Mark because it demonstrates our continued commitment to producing the best food possible for people across London.”

Coller Capital receives workplace catering services from the company. Alan Briefel at Coller said: “We are delighted that our corporate caterers Alistair-Hugo have been awarded the Soil Association Catering Mark.

“Ethical and sustainable food is something that we take very seriously as a business, and we believe the Catering Mark is a great way to ensure our staff and guests are served high quality food.”
