The team has agreed a pilot scheme, which will see them provide an array of nutritious dishes in the school. The move, which is scheduled to begin from January 5th, means a branded Fuel Station fridge will be available to students selling protein shakes, bars and porridge.
Kurt Wilson, former Apprentice contestant and Fuel Station director, said: “We are delighted to have agreed a deal with the school. We believe the concept will be popular with the students, who will all benefit from using our products on a daily basis.”
Wilson has recently won backing from Liverpool NHS Trust and feels other schools on Merseyside should consider the healthy eating initiative to help reduce the obesity epidemic.
“There seems to be a problem with teenage obesity and how to combat it. However, I feel we can provide a cheap, practical solution with our offering, so perhaps other schools should take the idea on board.”
Fuel Station recently opened its first pop-up site in Liverpool city centre and regularly provides dietary, health and fitness regimes for celebrities and sport stars.
