Linda Lewis Kitchens appoints apprentices as part of major investment
Abstract
Italian catering equipment importer and supplier, Linda Lewis Kitchens, has appointed two apprentices as the first stage of a major investment in employee development and training, which will roll out during 2016.

The Oldham-based company has appointed Tony Godding (27) as apprentice warehouseman and Chloe Lewis (16) as an apprentice sales administrator. Tony has previously worked as a chef, so understands the world of catering, whilst Chloe only left school in the summer.

Linda Lewis said: “We believe in helping people to learn on the job and gain a qualification whilst earning money.

“This encouraged us to look at apprenticeships, which formalise a policy we have always had of training up our employees and seeing them grow into exciting and fulfilling roles.

“We are delighted to have Tony and Chloe on board and know that they have already learned a lot in the short time they have been with us.”

A belief in growing talent and enabling employees to flourish through training and self-development has led Linda to go down the apprenticeship route, working with training providers The Source and The Apprentice Academy.
