Abstract
Over 200 school children from primary schools throughout Lewisham took part in an interactive 'Meet the Grower' event recently, where they learnt how their meals journeyed from the field to their school dinner plate.
"So for us, 'Meet the Grower' day was all about teaching the children that everything we do – including eating school meals – affects the environment and communities in which we live."
