Abstract
The M Shed and Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, with catering partner Levy UK, have achieved Silver accreditation from the Soil Association’s Food for Life Served Here award.

The award aims to raise the standards of food quality, provenance and sustainability in UK public and private sector catering.

The Levy-run cafes were recognised for meeting ethical standards on nutrition, freshness, sustainability and animal welfare.

Tanguy Fablet, general manager for Levy UK at M Shed, commented: “We’re thrilled to have achieved Silver accreditation from the Soil Association which is fantastic recognition of our commitment to sustainable, ethical and fresh food.”

The catering teams demonstrated that they prepare meals using at least 5% organic ingredients, use a selection of ingredients produced locally or in the UK, and are making healthy eating the easy option.

Local food suppliers feature heavily on the cafe menus.
