Levy UK strengthens SEC team with two key appointments

Compass Group’s sports, leisure and hospitality sector, Levy UK, has employed a new venue director and executive chef at its Glasgow-based Scottish Event Campus (SEC).

Joining SEC Food as venue director is Jamie Anderson – who will responsible for the overall food and beverage strategy - while Matthew Scobey joins as executive chef with over 25 years experience in professional kitchens.

 

The appointments come as the campus “continues to develop its reputation for food and beverage,” with the new leadership team in charge of all food and drink while continuing to promote the exhibitions, conferences and live events venue.

 

Kevin Watson, Levy UK business director, said: “Levy UK has been implementing a new and exciting food strategy that will keep SEC Food fresh and interesting.

 

“The SEC is confident that Jamie and Matthew will strengthen our team and our position as the leading events campus in Europe.

 

“Innovation, business development and people are a strong element of both Matthew and Jamie’s backgrounds, which we’ll be keen to share and develop in the coming months and years.”

 

Mark Laidlaw, director of operations at SEC, added: “Our partnership with Levy UK recognises the importance of team work and strategic thinking. These appointments will be integral to the continued success of catering at the SEC, and we welcome Jamie and Matthew to the Campus.”
