Abstract
Sports and leisure business Levy UK has announced that it will be paying all of its UK employees the Real Living Wage or above from 1 January 2023.

Levy UK employs over 1,000 full-time workers and 14,500 variable-hour workers to support their clients at sports stadia, arenas and conference centres across the country. The new Real Living Wage rate is £10.90 and the London Living Wage rate will rise to £11.95.

Jon Davies, managing director of Levy UK, said: "Our people are the lifeblood of our business, so paying a fair wage, especially in light of the cost-of-living crisis, is absolutely the right thing to do.

“We have been working in partnership with our clients over the past two years to move to the position of paying 100% of our workers in the UK the Real Living Wage. We value and care for our people and know that paying the Real Living Wage can make a big difference, allowing them to enjoy a more balanced life.”

Levy is part of food services giant Compass, who over the past two years has worked with over 300 clients to move to Real Living Wage.

Katherine Chapman, director of the Living Wage Foundation, added: "As the cost of living continues to rise, it's fantastic to see Levy's leadership and hard-work over the past two years in moving to pay all employees a real Living Wage. The benefits the Living Wage brings to workers and business alike and has never been more important.”
