Abstract
Leith's, a part of global contract caterer Compass Group, has announced it has secured an extension to its five-year contract to supply catering at Trent FM Arena Nottingham.
The contract will now run until 2017 increasing revenue from £11 million to £22 million. The Trent FM Arena Nottingham is home to the National Ice Centre and is on the national circuit of concerts and events. Leith's provides the complete food and beverage operation for this venue, including all public kiosks, café bars, hospitality suites and conference and banqueting occasions. Geoff Huckstep, Chief Executive of Trent FM Arena Nottingham, said: "We decided to extend Leith's contract due to the extremely positive experience we have had over the past 18 months. The team mobilised on site very quickly and established a good working relationship with us. They have also improved the venue by redesigning the bars and changing the food on offer." Matthew Thompson, Managing Director of Compass Group's Sports, Leisure and Hospitality sector, said: "Trent FM Arena Nottingham is widely regarded as one of the East Midlands' leading venues and we are thrilled with the contract extension. After signing the contract in 2007, we brought in experts in stadia and arenas from across Compass Group to ensure we designed and delivered the best food and beverage offering for Trent FM Arena Nottingham." Leith's is responsible for the seven public food and beverage kiosks around the arena and the two onsite cafes, 'Icebreakers' and 'T&Ds'. In addition, Leith's manages the entire conference, banqueting and event business, including four function rooms (the largest of which accommodates up to 220 delegates), 40 executive suites for 12-28 guests, the exclusive Directors Bar, and the Arena itself, which can accommodate up to 10,000 guests.
