Le Cordon Bleu launches degree at Birkbeck, University of London
Abstract
Le Cordon Bleu, the international culinary arts, wine and management school, has partnered with Birkbeck, University of London, to launch the Bachelor of Business Administration in Culinary Industry Management.

Andre Cointreau, President of Le Cordon Bleu, said: "The programme developed jointly with Birkbeck and Le Cordon Bleu is a unique Bachelor’s honours degree combining business management with culinary arts and hospitality studies in the ideal setting of both institutions; equipping students with the skills set and knowledge to develop international careers.”

The three-year degree, which will begin in September this year, will teach practical culinary skills, an extensive knowledge of food and drink and marketing and management practices.

Professor David Latchman CBE, Master of Birkbeck, said: “This partnership is a fitting chapter in Birkbeck’s long history of meeting the needs of working Londoners and will well-equip those looking to seize the chance to become part of the next generation of culinary leaders. We look forward to welcoming our first group of students this autumn.”

Students will have full access to facilities at Birkbeck and Le Cordon Bleu, both based in Bloomsbury Square, during the course.
