Abstract
Irish dairy company Lakeland Dairies has appointed a new head of marketing and international, Paul Chmielewski, following the departure of Simon Muschamp after 16 years.

After 40 years in the industry, Muschamp stepped down from his role yesterday (3 April) saying: “Over two decades Lakeland Dairies – along with our foodservice division Pritchitts – has grown to become one of the leading dairy products suppliers here in the UK and globally.

“Having seen the company firmly establish itself as the dairy partner to chefs and operators across the hotel, restaurant, education, travel and cost sectors, I feel the time is right to step down. I have been and still am, hugely passionate about our great industry.”

Assuming his new promoted role, Chmielewski - formerly head of international at Lakeland Dairies – said: “Simon was integral to Lakeland Dairies’s achievements and I wish him all the best in this next phase of his life.

“I am delighted and excited to start this new chapter in my career at Lakeland Dairies, and am looking forward to working alongside a strong and passionate team. My focus is to continue to build upon our success and unrivalled reputation within the industry for product innovation.”

He has been with the company for the past five years where he has overseen Lakeland Dairies’s global business (encompassing 70 countries.)
