Abstract
LACA vice chair Brad Pearce released a short video announcing the theme for National School Meals Week (NSMW), which will take place from 7-11 November 2022.

For 2022 NSMW LACA is focussing on the great work school caterers are doing to decrease their impact on the environment. Over the last 30 years NSMW has been raising awareness about the importance of nutritious school meals.

NSMW aims to show parents and students what a modern day school meal actually looks and tastes like. The week long campaign also aims to get as many children back to eating and enjoying hot school lunches.

For those attending the LACA Main Event there will be a NSMW team on the LACA stand in the Palace Suite to hand out leaflets and explain more about the week. For those who cannot attend, the leaflet will be available to download from the NSMW website on the week commencing 11 July 2022.

School caterers, managers and contract caterers can attend the School Food Show (6-7 July) at the LACA Main Event free of charge. Regular visitors say that one of the greatest benefits of being at the Main Event is the unrivalled chance for networking that it offers.

With over 140 exhibitors, Main Event organisers say it is the ideal place to find solutions to a wide range of requirements from food and beverage products which can help those working in education catering to meet all the nutritional standards and guidelines.
