Abstract
Kudos, part of the Crown Group, is rolling out their new street food concept called Haute Dog, with Harrogate selected as the first location.

Kudos is taking the concept to the streets in the form of a 1940’s Citroen H Van, focusing on introducing new flavours as well as ensuring the quality of the breads match the range of sausages.

The H Van is fitted with both gas and electric flat griddles, stainless steel embossed work surfaces and incorporates two half-height refrigeration units, and two stainless steel wash basins. In addition there is a semi-automatic bean-to-cup coffee machine.

The Haute Dog menu includes: Naked, British, free-range pork sausage on a warm toasted bun; New York, British, free-range pork sausage, choucroute with fresh apple, fresh parsley & cardamom on a warm toasted bun; Haute Hottie, British, free-range pork sausage, street style onions with paprika, homemade beef chilli, Monterey Jack cheese on a warm toasted bun and Dirty Dawg, British, free-range pork sausage, homemade American style mustard with gherkin, red chilli & fresh parsley on a warm toasted bun.

Jon Pryce, managing director of Kudos said: “We are always keen to embrace new food concepts across the business. Several members of our staff regularly attend global food festivals to spot emerging trends.

“We have been trialling the concept for a number of months to ensure we have the right balance of bread, meat and sauces. The choice of the Citroen H Van was key to completing the concept and we are now ready to hit the streets.”
