Abstract
Contract caterer Kudos Hospitality has created 20 placement positions for Westminster Kingsway College (WKC) students at nine different London venues.
The placements, which will last for one week and will commence on 25 May, has been created by executive head chef of Kudos Hospitality Larry Serra and James Lui from WKC and aims to give 20 first year students undertaking their NVQ's, the chance to experience how a real kitchen works. Serra explained: "It's really important for students to see how it works in the real world and this will give them their first taste of life in a kitchen. It's also important for us as contract caterers to be able to excite new students and put something back into the industry so that they are better prepared when they leave." The students have been chosen by the lecturers at Westminster Kingsway College and the chefs from each venue will attend the college on April 29th to meet their new protégés. The venues taking part in the placement include Tottenham Football Club, the HAC, Central Halls Westminster and various City livery halls.
