Abstract
Contract caterer Kudos has raised profits to £213,000 at Winchester Cathedral Christmas market, a 5% increase on 2014, despite utilising one less chalet.
Retail food experience creator at Kudos, Josh Beth, said: “It’s just fantastic that Winchester Cathedral’s Christmas market has become so popular.
“I think the improvements we made to the production facilities and the theatre of cooking with food being prepared and sold in front of visitors could have been one of the reasons for this year’s outstanding success.
“The team and I are already looking forward to creating more improvements for the 2016 Christmas market and we hope it will be even more successful than this year’s one!”
350,000 people visited the market between November 19th and December 22nd. 16,000 German Krakauer sausages were served alongside 700kg of pulled pork.
