Abstract
Winchester Cathedral opened the doors to its newly refurbished Refectory café to host a ‘Big Breakfast’ morning for the local homeless and vulnerably housed.

Kudos, the onsite retail and event caterer, with support from the Crown Foundation and Cathedral staff, provided guests with a full English breakfast made in the Cathedral kitchen, which was served by Kudos’ management team.

John Pryce, managing partner at Kudos said: “It was a pleasure to be given an insight into how the Cathedral supports the local community and we are proud to be a part of this initiative.”

Roland Riem, vice-dean and canon chancellor, Winchester Cathedral said: “The Big Breakfast gives the Cathedral a chance to reach out to others whose lives have taken a turn for the worse. Listening to their stories is always humbling and a privilege.”

Winchester Cathedral works with many local homeless and vulnerable charities and often hosts events, such as The Big Sleep Out where volunteers sleep under the stars and get to experience a night in the cold for themselves.
