As part of Sysco GB, it ran events throughout June to help drive long-term understanding of the issues and needs of the LGBTQ+ community.
Margaret Gooch, Sysco GB human resources director, said: “We are committed to inclusion, and at the heart of that is fostering a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, and ideas and perspectives are brought to a table where everyone has a seat.
“Having a diverse and engaged workforce is incredibly important part of this across all of Sysco’s operating companies in Great Britain and we recognise that we need to show support across the entire year.
“We are very pleased to be launching new initiatives, including training and development opportunities, as well as very visuals examples like our new kff crossing, that will make a lasting contribution to how diversity is viewed within Sysco GB.”
