Brakes Group is the market leader in UK foodservice and the second largest in both France and Sweden. McMeikan will discuss the shape of the Brakes business, the wholesale market and the wider industry, and the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Under his leadership, Brakes Group has experienced a sales increase of over £0.5bn; operations have expanded from four to six countries; and the employee base increase by 50%.
McMeikan is also the driving force behind the charitable ‘Meals and More’ programme, a nationwide community initiative, supported by leading food companies, aimed at providing tasty, nutritious meals and enrichment activities outside of school for the one in four children currently living in poverty across the UK.
