Joanna Florczak, human resources manager for JJ Foodservice, said: “Enfield is expected to be one of the hardest hit areas impacted by soaring energy bills. We are not the biggest business, but we are keen to help, and are very grateful to our suppliers and The Felix Project, who worked with us to donate a total of 207 helping hand packs.”
The Felix Project rescues surplus food from suppliers and then delivers it to over 1,000 community groups, charities and schools across every London Borough.
Charlotte Hill, chief executive of The Felix Project, added: “This is a wonderful donation, with some fantastic products that will have been hugely welcomed by the recipients. We were thrilled to help deliver the packages and would like to say a big thank you to JJ Foodservice and their partners for this generous contribution at such a crucial time.”
