Malibu was founded in 1982 and supplies catering equipment including heavy duty griddles, ventless fryers, ice cream machines and drawer warmers across the UK.
Ben Dale, managing director of Jestic Foodservice Equipment said: “This is an exciting chapter in the growth of Jestic and the range of equipment distributed by Malibu perfectly complements and broadens our existing portfolio.
“There is also a great cultural fit between the two companies, who share the same values and a commitment to work collaboratively with customers and provide the highest possible levels of service.
“Malibu will continue to operate as a separate company under the existing name however, Jestic will be investing heavily in the facilities at the Manchester site in order to create a fully-equipped test kitchen and meeting facility for Jestic customers in the North of England.”
Tony Keating, former owner and managing director of Malibu will continue to be involved in the new business for the foreseeable future.
The Jestic portfolio uses equipment from brands including Josper, Wood Stone, Edge, Alfa Pro and Vitamix.
