Abstract
The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) has announced their Excellence in School Food Award winners following a presentation evening that took place at the Nottingham Belfry.
Aimed at recognising excellence in innovation and individual commitment, the awards provide an opportunity for those working within school food a chance to ‘step forward and shine’.
Sharon Hodgson MP, chair of the APPG on school food, said: “Each of our finalists are a shining example of the extraordinary steps being taken to ensure the food security of our children and young people. This APSE Seminar was a special celebration of the public services that keep our great country moving and, on behalf of everyone involved with the APPG on School Food, I want to say a huge thank you."
The winners included:
- APPG Excellence In School Food Award (individual): Jeanette Orrey MBE - School Food Plan Alliance
- APPG Excellence In School Food Award (group): Breakfast Boxes - School Food Matters
- APPG Excellence In School Food Award (schools category): Stokes Wood Primary School
- APSE Soft Facilities Management Award (catering): Blackpool Council
