Abstract
Facilities management (FM) company ISS has won a brand new, £350,000 catering contract at Hawkley Hall High School (Wigan).

Set to run for five years, it kicked off this month (3 September) to coincide with the new academic year.

Providing all catering services for the school’s 1,000+ students and staff, ISS will also introduce both its Tiller & Hobs dining experience - ‘freshly prepared, balanced and flavoursome’ food – and travelling concept – a range of cuisines from around the world.

As well as £48,000 investment to the school, ISS will work alongside staff to introduce food education initiatives, such as cooking and gardening clubs for students and life skills and career development support.

It will assign a dedicated food ambassador to support the school’s needs and interests regarding menus, food education and the community.

Headteacher Philip Rimmer commented: “Hawkley Hall is excited to be working with ISS.

“We want to bring healthy, varied and affordable food options to our school community, in a relaxed and comfortable dining area. The ISS offer fits our objectives and puts student needs at the heart of the dining experience.”
