ISS wins Luton NHS catering contract on back of ‘excellent reputation’

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has appointed ISS Healthcare as its new provider of catering and domestic services at the Luton & Dunstable University Hospital.

The new contract follows a 12-month tendering and evaluation process and will begin in November 2020.

Cathy Jones, Deputy Chief Executive at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “ISS have an excellent reputation in the industry, and we are very pleased and excited to have appointed them. We look forward to working with ISS to deliver a mutually successful contract over the next seven years and realising the future benefits that will come from our long-term partnership arrangement.”  

Chris Ash, Managing Director of ISS Healthcare, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by the Trust to provide these essential services. The Covid-19 pandemic has clearly demonstrated the need for the highest levels of cleanliness in all our hospitals and our healthcare cleaning solutions have proved very successful throughout our portfolio of NHS hospitals during this pandemic”
