ISS secures landmark contract with Department for Work & Pensions
Abstract
Facilities management company ISS has announced it will begin mobilising the recently awarded seven-year contract with the Department for Work & Pensions on 1st October 2024, for a scheduled go live in October 2025.

The contract, which is valued at around £135m a year, will see ISS provide integrated facility services including catering, cleaning and technical services to the DWP across the UK.

Craig Varian, director of DWP estates, said: “Our Workplace Services Programme is the largest such re-procurement in Government, creating a facilities management service that is business critical in enabling DWP to function and serve our customers. I am looking forward to the new partnership with ISS and building a collaborative and exciting working relationship.”

ISS provides ‘innovative’ workplace solutions that contribute to better business performance aimed at making ‘life easier, more productive and enjoyable for all’. The facilities management company has a presence in more than 30 countries worldwide, with more than 30,000 employees across the UK and Ireland alone.

Scott Davies, chief executive of ISS UK & Ireland, added: “ISS is honoured to have been awarded this landmark contract with the DWP, marking a significant milestone in our relationship with the UK public sector. This contract underscores the close strategic alignment of our two organisations — particularly our shared commitment to delivering social value for people and communities across Britain.

“I look forward to the opportunities this partnership presents for both ISS and the DWP as we work together to deliver the Department’s long-term FM ambitions and support their vital services to the UK economy and workforce.”
