Timed with Plant-Based Week, the first half of ‘Green Fingers- the Big Grow’ fortnight begins today (17 May) and includes a host of events for primary school pupils to get involved with.
School pupils will have the opportunity to try plant-based tasters throughout the week, including beetroot and orange salad and broccoli and carrot crisps. Children will also be able to connect to live virtual foodie sessions hosted by ISS’ chefs and nutritionists to watch plant-based cooking demonstrations.
Green Fingers continues next week with gardening themed virtual sessions, supported by gardening expert Chris Collins. Children across the UK will join Chris for online practical sessions where they will talk growing tips and plant seeds.
In secondary schools ISS will launch an entirely plant-based concept, Feed Your Eco! With pop up events and tasters. ISS chefs will be visiting schools during Plant-Based Week to showcase the new range and invite students to taste dishes such as cauliflower kung pao, carrot cake energy balls and jackfruit goulash.
