Abstract
Instore, Compass Group UK & Ireland’s specialist provider of restaurant and cafe food services for high street retailers, has appointed Russell Scanlon as director of business development.

Scanlon joins Instore from Lexington where he has been sales and marketing director for four years. He previously worked for Restaurant Associates, the executive dining division of Compass Group UK & Ireland as business development manager from 2008 to 2010.

 In this newly created position, Scanlon assumes responsibility for client sales and marketing within the Instore business – part of Compass’ B&I division, Eurest. The appointment reflects Instore’s drive for expansion as it ventures into new markets, backed by an impressive client portfolio.

Scanlon will be building on Instore’s recent successes – among which is a new contract to introduce coffee shops to 30 Homebase stores around the UK, a partnership with Garson’s Garden Centre and a national award for its offer at Tesco1  – to develop and deliver a business strategy for continued growth.
