Institute of Hospitality comes to ScotHot

18th Feb 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
Next month Peter Lederer, president of the Institute of Hospitality and chairman of Gleneagles, will perform the official launch ceremony for the new Institute of Hospitality Scotland in the Business Seminar Theatre during ScotHot (2-4 March).
The Institute of Hospitality Scotland will offer a more tailored service specifically aimed at the needs of the industry in Scotland and it will provide a stronger focus in response to various political and local initiatives. Highlights of the ceremony include sector specific workshops looking at topics affecting the hospitality industry, networking events with Scottish businesses and industry leaders, and qualifications available to study in Scotland and how the institute can support students. Members throughout Scotland will be invited to have their say via one single Branch Committee, with this helping to promote integrated branch working. The launch will mark the first time that ScotHot has partnered with Scottish Tourism to provide a series of stimulating seminars and workshops for tourism businesses. It will commence at 4.10pm on 3 March with Peter Lederer's presentation, followed by speakers, Philippe Rossiter FIH, chief executive, Institute of Hospitality, and Rob Moore FIH, chairman, Institute of Hospitality Scotland. If you are interested in coming along to the event please contact Rebecca Hewitt at rebecca.hewitt@instituteofhospitality.org to arrange your free place. Guests are also welcome.
