Industry excellence recognition for 3663 Logistics

28th Aug 2007 - 00:00
Abstract
The Logistics Division of 3663 First for Foodservice has become the latest company to achieve Investors in Excellence (IiE) standard.
3663's Logistics Division submitted to an external assessment that included reviews of operations at the main depots in Banbury, Royton and Lichfield. Employees were also interviewed through focus groups, briefings and one-to-one interviews. Andrew Selley, managing director of the Logistics Division said: "Our success is down to each and every individual who forms part of the company. In the final report the assessor highlighted that there was a 'uniformly strong focus on the needs of customers'. Over the next few months the Logistics Division will review all of the feedback from the assessor and then develop and implement plans for each depot and department to ensure that standards are further improved." IiE covers all areas of an organisation's activities. Company evaluation is structured around nine principles – leadership, policy and strategy, people, partnership and resources, processes, customer results, people results, society results and key performance results. In order to achieve IiE standard, a organisation must demonstrate that it has addressed all nine principles. The Logistics Division is currently the exclusive supply route for many major catering customers such as KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Pret a Manger and Nando's.
