The manufacturer will supply each kitchen with equipment, such as pasteurisation units and gelato production technology, at the event where visitors can sample gelato and watch live demonstrations.
Paul Ingram, managing director at Carpigiani UK, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with the Gelato Festival as it makes a return to our capital.
“Now in its third, the event showcases the very best in gelato production from around the country and as such, have already confirmed contestants from some of the most prestigious restaurants, including the Gordon Ramsey Group and gelato masters from award winning businesses including Snowflake Gelato and Equi.”
The three-day festival will also host a competition where 16 chefs and gelato makers will compete for a place in the final, with a chance to be named 2017 Gelato Festival European Champion.
The festival will tour Europe throughout the year, visiting Poland, Italy and Germany before ending in Florence.
