Abstract
Foodservice equipment company Hubbard Taylor Group (HTG), owner of both Hubbard Systems and Taylor UK, has announced “major changes” to its senior management structure to “help with its continuing progression.”

As of 1 January, group chief executive Martin Wood will step down after 18 years to become non-executive chair, while commercial director of Hubbard, Simon Aspin, will assume his promoted role as managing director of HTG.

He said: “Martin’s contribution to the company’s success has been immense (- sales have risen by 86% in the last five years alone.) We are very grateful that we will continue to benefit from his business acumen.”

As well as this, Taylor’s commercial director, Pete Gray, will become managing director of Taylor – a move the company hopes ”will help ensure continuing success.”

Wood commented: “HTG’s succession planning in recent years has been focused on developing internal candidates for senior management positions. We believe that the arrangements that are in place will allow the company to continue its successful growth path.”
