Abstract
Healthy hot beverage company, T Plus Drinks, has launched a workplace wellness campaign in partnership with Harrogate council and businesses in the North Yorkshire area.

Founded by husband and wife James and Jade Dawson, the Harrogate-based start-up is on a mission to “make a new generation of nutrient dense, healthy hot drinks.” As such, the full T Plus range includes a selection of four vitamin-packed ‘super teas.’

As part of its new campaign, the company has teamed up with the local council and fellow businesses to encourage staff to be more active on their lunch breaks.

This includes handing out tea to employees to ‘spread a little health;’ campaigning under the #OpportunityOfALunchtime message; and offering local businesses discounts to the Hydro pool to get their employees active.

The T Plus team will also be at the Hydro this Wednesday (8 August) with their products and getting involved in the day’s activities.

James Dawson said: “In life before T Plus, I was stuck in a pressured 9-6 job which involved sitting and staring at a computer screen all day and made my health suffer.

“We started T Plus to help people make simple, small changes that can help us in our wellness goals.

“That’s why we wanted to do our bit to help in workplace wellness around our home town and get people thinking how they spend their lunch breaks this week.”

The move comes as latest research revealed that the average person spends 12 hours a day sitting down – and that sedentary lifestyles are believed to be ”the most the unanticipated health threats of our modern world.”
