Abstract
Fourth, a solutions and software provider to the hospitality industry, has appointed Steve Rowley as its chairman.

Rowley (left), has been employed in senior positions within the sector for over two decades, ten of which were spent with IBM. He is currently chairman at CoreHR and MetaPack.

“I have admired Fourth for a number of years and am relishing the opportunity to work alongside Ben [Hood, CEO] and his team,” said Rowley. “I’ve always had a passion to work at the best tech companies and the timing and fit of this role was perfect.

“Together, the board’s combined sector knowledge and significant financial backing will drive the business forward as it continues its mission to support and help operators deal with the challenging headwinds they face.”

Hood added: “Helping the hospitality industry overcome the challenges it’s currently facing is our primary focus – Steve’s knowledge and experience will be invaluable in doing this”

“We’ve always been focused on creating a culture that attracts and retains the industry’s leading talent, an initiative which placed us in 2017’s The Sunday Times’ Best Companies to Work For, and our latest appointment reflects this, as well as demonstrating our ambition to grow the business.”

Fourth, which is backed by New-York based private equity firm, Insight Venture Partners, joined forces with CGA and Prestige Purchasing in 2017 to provide greater insight into the sector’s food and drink inflation through the CGA Prestige Foodservice Price Index (FPI).
