The data, from independent job site CV-Library, also found application rates in hospitality increased 19.4% year-on-year, making the sector the third highest industry for applications across the UK.
Lee Biggins, founder and managing director of CV-Library, said: “It’s great to see that organisations in the hospitality sector are remaining confident as the year draws to a close, and that candidate appetite is still strong.
“This is a notoriously busy time of year for workers in the sector, and businesses in hospitality have plenty of roles to fill over the festive period. It’s also likely that companies are getting their job adverts out there ahead of the January rush in the New Year.”
The sector also saw a 6.6% increase in advertised salaries last month, as hospitality organisations continue to invest in their current and future workforce.
Biggins concluded: “It’s clear from the findings that businesses in the hospitality industry recognise the need to offer competitive salaries in order to attract talented recruits. Not only this, but it’s good to see workers in the sector are being rewarded, especially as they prepare to work over the Christmas period.”
