The events were held in Manchester, Edinburgh, London and Portsmouth as well as a virtual event in Ireland. The events served as an extension of BaxterStorey's safe space culture for women and other marginalised genders.
Speaking at the Manchester event Bettina Campolucci Bordi said: “Being able to support females within our industry is important and we must make it accessible, dispelling myths and creating more female leaders. Women supporting women is where the magic happens, and I am looking forward to working with many of the female chefs across BaxterStorey to attract more talent and invest in the development and wellbeing of teams.”
The events encouraged people to share their experiences of working in hospitality, as well as sharing advice and support on topics including career development and wellbeing at work.
Speaking at the Portsmouth event, Ruth Hansom commented: “Women have been underestimated so many times and have not been given the equal opportunities they deserve. BaxterStorey is providing equal opportunities across the business, and I am proud to be a role model to the Boathouse 4 team, inspiring its talented female chefs to innovate and lead future generations of women in hospitality.”
