The Winter Warmth campaign took place in seven cities across the UK including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, London, Brighton and Norwich. Volunteers gave up their time to pack and distribute over 12,000 bags of warm clothing, sleeping bags, toiletries and 1,000 thermal flasks.
Only A Pavement Away’s Winter Warmth campaign helps the charity to increase financial donations and raise greater awareness of the work that it does to help those facing homelessness, prison leavers and veterans into careers in the hospitality sector.
Greg Mangham, founder of Only A Pavement Away, said: “This year our Winter Warmth Campaign has been bigger than ever, reaching and supporting hundreds of individuals in seven cities across the UK.
“It’s been fantastic to see such a wealth of support and generosity on display from our supporters in the Hospitality Industry who have given up their time to support a much-needed cause, to ensure that those experiencing homelessness are kept warm during the cold winter months.”
Over the past three years, the Only A Pavement Away Winter Warmth campaign has distributed a total of over £179,000 worth of donated warm clothing and toiletries to people experiencing homelessness.
