The auction has already raised over £20,000 and hopes are high that it will smash last year’s total of £32,000. Hospitality Action is a charity that offers a range of financial and psychological support services to help hospitality people back on their feet again after a setback.
Prizes on offer include:
- A Taittinger Prize Hamper
- A two-night stay at Kimpton Fitzroy London, including three course dinner for two at Galvin Bar & Grill with a bottle of house wine
- Tasting menu with wine for two at sketch’s Lecture Room and Library in London’s Mayfair
- Chef’s signature lunch for eight guests at Dean Banks at the Pompadour, Edinburgh
A spokesperson for Hospitality Action, commented: “This winter many hospitality employers are on the brink of closure thanks to rising energy bills, food prices and the staffing crisis. Meanwhile many employees are also suffering from the skyrocketing cost of living. Around 35% of Hospitality Action’s beneficiaries directly reference mental health issues in their application, often reporting that financial problems exacerbate this leading to an uncertain festive season ahead.”
