Each May the Mental Health Foundation hosts Mental Health Awareness Week, which aims to reinforce the message that we all have mental health and that we can all take steps to understand, protect and sustain it.
Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, said: “We were thrilled to be asked to partner with the Mental Health Foundation to launch Mental Health Awareness Week and really appreciate the support of The Landmark London who hosted the afternoon tea.
“Events such as these, alongside our Family Members Scheme and Employee Assistance Programme, help raise valuable awareness of the role played by positive relationships, whether at home or at work, in supporting an individual’s mental health and wellbeing “
Last week, Hospitality Action treated 30 guests to afternoon tea at the Landmark London to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of relationships to our mental health and wellbeing.
Hospitality Action runs a 24/7 365 Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support employee health and wellbeing with The Landmark London one of the 95 companies who subscribe to the EAP.
The charity also runs a Family Members Scheme for people who have worked within the hospitality industry and are now retired, it aims to combat loneliness and isolation, which remain the key predictors for poor psychological and physical health.
