Abstract
Hobart’s government account manager, Roger Kellow, has been made an Honourary Member of the National Association of Care Catering (NACC), an accolade that ‘recognises his outstanding three decades-long contribution to the sector’.

He was awarded the honourary membership at the most recent NACC Awards gala dinner, held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.

Neel Radia, National Chair of the NACC, handed over the award, and said: “Honorary Membership of the NACC is not something that’s given out lightly.  It recognises and pays homage to individuals that have made a longstanding and outstanding contribution to the NACC and whose dedication and support of the association make a real difference to our mission, our members and the wider care sector.

“Roger Kellow is a fine example of this.  He has given an enormous amount of his time and expertise to the association in a number of key roles, and as one half of the dynamic NACC organising committee, he has helped ensure that year on year our successful national events reflect the needs of our members and the care catering sector and deliver tangible benefits to all. It was a real honour to present Roger with his Honorary Membership.”

Kellow added:It was a wonderful surprise to receive the honorary membership of the National Association of Care Catering at the recent event in Nottingham. I have an abiding affection and admiration for colleagues who work in this incredible part of the hospitality industry; their commitment, skill and compassion in delivering life enhancing and supporting services to older and vulnerable people in their care is outstanding. I regard myself as very fortunate to be counted amongst their number.”
