Hyde was awarded the accolade at Buckingham Palace for his work providing training in the hospitality industry for over thirty years and co-founding HIT Training with Jill Whittaker, managing director, in 2006.
Hyde said: “I am deeply honoured to be awarded the CBE. It is fantastic recognition of the work we at HIT Training have put into providing high-quality apprenticeships and staff development schemes for the hospitality industry.
“Over the past 10 years, we have seen an incredible change in the apprenticeship market and have continuously worked to provide the best service possible for employers and apprentices. It has been incredibly satisfying to have supported thousands of learners to gain the skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career in the hospitality sector.”
John was heavily involved in founding the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) and is currently the trade association’s managing director.
HIT Training Ltd has supported over 100,000 learners and apprentices at more than 22,000 employer sites.
