The partnerships are announced as National Apprentice Week draws to a close (March 9-13th), which HIT Training has been actively supporting.
HIT Training delivered more than half of all catering and hotel apprenticeships across England and helped over 20,000 people gain a qualification, apprenticeship or job, last year.
Jill Whittaker, managing director of HIT Training, said: “There’s no doubt that increasing numbers of employers recognise the important and significant role that apprentices contribute to economic growth - and the hospitality industry offers a great career path for those with the drive and determination to succeed.
“Well trained staff are a valuable asset to any business, but we also have a responsibility to steer young people in the right direction and help them become confident young professionals with a set of skills that will help them secure professional, long term employment. Our commitment to delivering that promise remains as strong as ever.”
HIT Training teams across the country are taking part in a wide range of innovative advisory or practical skills events for hospitality apprentices, including ‘back to the floor’ days where trainer assessors swap places in the workplace with apprentices, and graduation ceremonies to celebrate the success of recent qualifiers.
In Staffordshire, HIT has joined forces with some of the county’s most influential businesses to pledge a total 500 apprenticeships for young people, whilst continuing to support 34 of its own ‘in house’ apprentices across a range of business administration, accounting, HR and IT roles at its Sussex head office.
