Abstract
East Lothian-based contract caterer Hickory Food has added a premium pop up bar offering to its services, operating under the Hickory Bars brand name.

The service will be run by two new members of the Hickory Team, Adam Murphy and Harry Olorunda, and will launch officially at the Royal Highland Show in June (23-26).

Stephanie Stubbs, marketing director at Hickory Food, said: “The addition of Hickory Bars to our business was a natural step for us. We already offer a comprehensive catering and events service, so adding a bar offering to our core product offering made complete sense.

“The flexibility of a pop up bar means that we can adapt it to suit any event, whether it's a floral, botanical gin bar for 1000 people at the Royal Highland Show, or a Scottish themed whisky snug for a wedding. We will use our well-known creativity in our bars just as much as we do in our food, aiming to leave a lasting impression on guests."

The ‘Botanical Garden’ will mark the flagship venue in the Royal Highland Show’s new line up of bars, and the Hickory Bars format is expected to be extended.

Hickory, previously GH Event Catering, is a catering and events company that has secured contracts with venues such as Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh and Dunglass Castle.
