Hertfordshire Council unveil cool catering for sixth form cafe

27th Oct 2010 - 00:00
Abstract
Hertfordshire Catering has worked in partnership with a county secondary school to update its sixth form cafe.
Now known as Cafe JWS, the new venture at the John Warner School in Hoddesdon, has been officially opened by one of the UK's leading chefs, Rob Rees MBE, who is also chair of the School Food Trust. Lin O'Brien, head of Hertfordshire Catering, said: "This has been an exciting collaboration and we are delighted with the transformation. The new cafe has an improved range of food on offer and means that the 270 sixth form students have a wide variety of nutritious hot and cold dishes from a varied and appetising menu readily available without having to queue and without leaving the school premises." Headteacher, David Kennedy, added: "This is a major upgrade of our facilities and, in partnership with Hertfordshire Catering, we are providing a very high standard of service to our students which combines good food with good value. "Everyone has worked very hard to produce this superb new facility and I know the students are very appreciative."
