Harrison Catering wins five-year deal at Ealing schools

16th May 2008 - 00:00
Abstract
Harrison Catering has been awarded another five year contract to provide school meals at Ealing primary and secondary schools.
Initially awarded the deal five years ago, Harrison will continue to work with individual schools and The Ealing Schools Catering consortium (ESCC) to provide healthy mal choices at the school. Bill Graney, who manages the contract on behalf of Harrison, commented: "We've been developing the school meal service in partnership with the ESCC since the very start of the contract, and have been able to introduce a significant improvement to the food served to the children." He added: "last year, Ealing Council and Harrison were able to declare a trading surplus by increasing meal uptake by an amazing 7%. As a result, hard working catering staff each received a windfall of just over £130 and we are currently on track for a repeat of this again in the autumn." Special themed days and individual taster pots will also introduce children to new tastes and flavours. Weblink: www.harrisoncatering.co.uk Weblink: www.harrisoncatering.co.uk
