Graham Hornigold, executive pastry chef for Michelin starred Hakkasan group will join a panel of experts from across the industry at this year’s Toque d’Or regional heats.

The former Toque d’Or student will lead a culinary dessert masterclass, which the students will be tasked with delivering and serving to guests as part of a special three course meal. 

Hornigold said: “At a time when hospitality talent is at a premium, competitions like Toque d’Or have never been more important to ensuring the future of our industry. 

“For me, being part of Toque was an incredible experience, and one that opened doors in my career. 

“Regardless of who leaves as winners, the students taking part in this year’s competition can walk away knowing they have been a part of something great.”

The top 36 teams to make it through the paper round will face the Regional Heats in February and fight for a place in the Grand Finals in March.
