Abstract
Tevin Tobun, chief executive of GV Group, has been named as one of the UK’s 100 most influential black people by The Powerlist 2023.

The list was unveiled at the annual Powerlist Black Excellence Awards held at the Savoy in London on Friday 28th October 2022. It was a night of double celebration for Tobun as GV Group was also awarded Business of the Year.

Throughout the year GV Group has delivered 24 million food items with a value of more than £300m to schools, caterers and wholesales. Tobun is a council member at The Open University, a lifetime patron of hospitality charity Springboard and was on the board of Middlesex University.

He is also chair of Inspirational You, which provides guidance to people from a BAME background starting out in business through a range of initiatives, such as work experience, business mentoring and business workshops.

Tobun commented: “I’m honoured to be on the Powerlist with so many incredible people, for the fifth year. It means so much to me. I hope it serves as an inspiration to young people to show what can be achieved with hard work and determination. I wouldn’t be able to achieve what I have without my incredible team at GV Group and I want to thank them for their continued dedication.”
