Abstract
Craft Guild of Chefs vice president Stephen Scuffell and Robin Williams will walk over 120 miles to Birmingham from London and Leeds in October to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation projects.
They aim to raise £50,000 to help promote the benefits of healthy eating and exercise to children and young adults. Their campaign is being supported by the Craft Guild of Chefs and the British Culinary Federation. Many high profile chefs, celebrities and key figures from the culinary world have already pledged their support and will be walking sections of the routes with the chefs. Birmingham was chosen as the destination as it is the mid point between two the two cities and because it's the home of University College Birmingham (formerly Birmingham College of Food), where a fundraising dinner will be held at the end of the walk. In addition to donating online, people can also help by attending a fundraising event at a Moran or Bewleys hotel, donating auction prizes; organizing local events and collections; walking part of the route for sponsorship; forwarding this link to friends and colleagues; or by adding a button or widget to your website or facebook page. For further information contact Catherine Baroun at the Crown Moran Hotel on 020 8452 4175 or email cbaroun@moranhotels.com. The walk will take place between the 18th and 25th October. The British Heart Foundation is in association with the Change for Life campaign.
