Abstract
Granarolo, an Italian milk and dairy group, won three awards at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards, including silver for its vegetarian Quattrocento hard cheese.

The Granarolo Group supplies farm-to-fork dairy produce all over the world including cheese, milk, yogurts and snacks.

Quattrocento hard cheese is produced with 100% Italian milk and was awarded silver in the Best Italian Cheese category. It is used to create Granarolo snacks including the new cheese crumbles, which combines hard cheese and dried fruits.

Aldo Bosco, chief executive of Granarolo Group UK, said: “We are absolutely delighted to see our Quattrocento Italian hard cheese recognised with this award.

“The International Cheese & Dairy Awards are one of the most important events in our industry and this accolade shows chefs can feel confident in making the swap to our premium quality hard cheese to create artisanal vegetarian dishes that deliver a taste of Italy.”

Granarolo's parmigiano reggiano recieved a 'highly commended' in the Best Italian Cheese category and their gorgonzola picante won bronze in the Blue Vein Soft Cheese category.

Bosco, added: “At Granarolo we pride ourselves on producing great traditional Italian cheeses and providing a unique and unmistakable taste. They showcase the strong heritage of traditional Italian cheese making methods, and we can’t wait to for chefs to bring these classics to their plates.”
