The UK is rapidly heading towards a second major, national lockdown as a result of the coronavirus. We’ve pulled together a few tasty food facts for you to chew over as you ponder another spell of self-isolation.

•    Some of the most unusual crisp flavours from around the world include seaweed, red caviar, Pepsi flavoured, cucumber and salmon sushi.
•    The longest strand of pasta ever recorded was in Japan and it was 3,776 metres long.
•    The cuisine associated with Rastafarians is called ‘Ital’, which is derived from the word vital and relates to the fact they try to abstain from processed foods.
•    Chinese fortune cookies are not an old custom and have nothing to do with China. In fact they were created in early 20th century California.
•    The rapper Snoop Dog made the Gin & Juice cocktail famous in the 1990s, and he personally holds the Guinness world record for the largest one ever mixed at 132 gallons.
